Is there an alternative to the traditional Rich Fruit Cake?

Yes! I offer delicious alternative cakes from Light fruit through to Victoria sponge. Click here to look at Product varieties for a list of what is available.

I do not like mixed peel or nuts in my Rich Fruit Cake. Can I have it without either?

Yes! Just tell me if you want anything changed when it comes to making the cake.

What fillings do you use?

Vanilla butter cream and homemade strawberry jam. Click here to look at Product fillings for a list of what is available.

What sort of icing do you use?

Professional Regalice that is a soft sugarpaste icing.

Is there an alternative to the traditional white covered cake?

Yes! Nowadays you cake can be covered in any colour you wish. You can choose from Celebration (ivory) and peach. Click here to look at the Product wedding colours for a list of what is available.

Can I mix and match what types of cake I choose?

Of course, you can! For example, a 3-tier cake you could have the bottom tier Fruit cake middle tier a Carrot Cake and the top a Victoria Sponge. Remember, though, that the fruit tier should always be on the bottom as it is the heaviest.

Have you seen a cake you like but only have a small number of guests?

I can incorporate ‘DUMMY’ cakes into the design to give you the effect you are look for at a lower price.

Can I have an entirely chocolate cake?

Yes! You could have a three tier chocolate sponge cake decorated with Chocolate Curls/Shavings and a filling of a rich chocolate butter cream and still incorporate your wedding colours ribbon and flowers. Alternatively, you could have the cake decorated in a Milk/White Duo.

Can I have white chocolate?

I can decorate the Chocolate cake or other if you prefer with White Curls and shavings again still incorporating your wedding colours ribbon and flowers. Another option is to decorate with fresh flowers or fruits.

I like the icing decoration from one cake but prefer the flowers from another. Can I incorporate both?

Yes, I offer you the flexibility to ‘mix and match’ between designs, allowing you to create your own unique cake for your special day.

I’ve seen a flower arrangement from one cake but I need them in a different colour to match in with my bridal bouquet and other aspects of the reception. Can I change them?

Yes! All my cakes are individually designed so any type of flowers can be displayed on your cake. You also have the option to use sugar-coated flowers, fresh flowers and silk flowers.

How far in advance should I book my wedding cake?

Preferably, 3 Months notice.

How far in advance do I need to book a celebration cake (birthday)?

2-3 weeks for Sponge and Chocolate. But often cakes can be done at shorter notice, please call or e-mail me for more information.

Can I have my cake delivered?

Yes, the prices will vary based on the distance travelled to venue. I will also deliver and set up cake in person to local areas. The best thing to do is ask about this when you are ordering your cake.
